Lawrence Man, Allegedly Intoxicated, Faces Multiple Charges Including DWI

A 31-year-old Lawrence man faces multiple charges after police say he arrived in his neighborhood drunk in the early hours of New Year's Day, banged on residents' doors and ultimately drove off in his father's vehicle while allegedly intoxicated.

Arunabh Sinha, of Lawencia Drive, was issued seven summons including driving while intoxicated, obstruction of justice and resisting arrest.

According to Lawrence Township Police, Sinha took a taxi from Philadelphia to his neighborhood in Lawrence in the early hours of New Year's Day, but couldn't remember exactly where he lived. He began knocking on people's doors around 4:30 a.m., until one resident called the police.

When police arrived, they were able to contact Sinha's father on Laurencia Drive, who drove over to pick up his son. The father put Sinha in the passenger's seat of his car, but as he headed for the driver's side, Sinha scooted into the driver's seat and drove off, leaving his father behind, police said.

When police caught up with Sinha at his home, they issued him multiple summonses.
