Fowl Crash: Turkey Goes Through School Bus Window

The freak accident on Interstate 95 in Lawrence Township caused only minor injuries to bus driver.

A freak collision between a wild turkey and a school bus Thursday afternoon (March 22) sent the animal crashing through the windshield of school bus on Interstate 95 in Lawrence Township.

The accident occurred about 3 p.m. on the northbound side of I-95 just prior to Exit 8B (Princeton Pike).

Emergency officials who responded to the scene said the school bus driver suffered minor injuries and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The turkey was killed.

There were reportedly no children on the bus at the time. A voice mail message left for Rick Bus Co., the company that owns the bus, was not returned on Friday.
