Firefighters to Host Fire Prevention Open House Oct. 24

Volunteer firefighters from the Lawrenceville, Lawrence Road and Slackwood fire companies will provide potentially life-saving information during the event from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the firehouse on Philips Avenue.

Fire safety and prevention will be the focus when Lawrence Township’s three volunteer fire companies host members of the community on Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Township residents are invited to visit the Lawrenceville Volunteer Fire Co. firehouse on Philips Avenue between 5 and 8 p.m. on Oct. 24 for the annual “Fire Prevention Open House” to learn how to better protect themselves and their loved ones.

“Every year we take great pride in educating parents, kids, residents and business members about fire safety and prevention. It could be the most educational hour that your family has about fire safety," Lawrenceville Fire Chief Gary Wasko said.
