Family Reports Lawrence Township Woman Missing

Wanda Rickerson, 53, of the 1900 block of Brunswick Pike, is "dependent on medication to maintain her health." Rickerson has not been seen since Jan. 1, and her family contacted Lawrence Township police on Jan. 4 to report her missing.

Update, Jan. 16: Lawrence Township police confirmed today that Wanda Rickerson was located safe in Washington D.C. and reunited with her family last week.

 

Lawrence Township police are appealing to the public for help locating a woman whose family reported her missing yesterday (Wednesday, Jan. 4).

Wanda Rickerson, 53, was last seen on Sunday, Jan. 1. She lives in an apartment in the 1900 block of Brunswick Pike (Business Route 1).

“Ms. Rickerson is dependent on medication to maintain her health.  At this time it is believed that she has not taken her medication since Jan. 1. Her destination is not known, however in the past she has traveled by train to New York City,” Lawrence Township police said in a news release.

Police described Rickerson as black, with a medium complexion, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 270 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. It is unknown at this time what clothing she might be wearing.  

Anyone with information about Rickerson’s whereabouts or who has seen her since Sunday is urged to call Lawrence Township police at (609) 896-1111.  Detective Todd Caruso is leading the investigation.
