Lawrence Cops Release Drawing of Robbery Suspect

Man allegedly tried to rob the Norman's Hallmark store at Lawrence Shopping Center. Anyone recognizing the man is asked to call Lawrence Township police.

Lawrence Township police this morning released a composite drawing of the about 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.

The drawing, by a New Jersey state police artist, is based on descriptions given to police by the two women who were working in the store at the time.

The man is described as black, 50 to 60 years old, with a heavy build and medium-dark complexion, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 250 pounds, with brown eyes and black and gray hair. He is missing some top and bottom teeth.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call Lawrence Township police at (609) 896-1111.

Police have said the man held a sharp or pointed weapon up to the neck of one of the two female store employees but he then fled without getting any money.
