Burglary

Lawrence Township Police Detective Todd Caruso and Officer Kelly Longo are investigating a burglary in which about a laptop computer, a flat-screen television, a digital camera, assorted coins and other property totaling $1,450 were stolen from a home on Zoar Street, according to township police spokesman Lt. Mark Ubry.

No evidence of forced entry was found, he said, and police suspect that the burglar gained entry via an unlocked door while no one was home sometime between 11 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12

Drug Offense

Rayshawn Kidd, 42, of Trenton, was arrested about 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, and charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and hindering apprehension after she and another person were stopped by Officer Richard Laird III after Laird, while on patrol, observed them near the front door of the Mercedes-Benz of Princeton auto dealership in the 2900 block of Brunswick Pike (Route 1) after the business had closed for the night, Ubry said.

While questioning the pair about what they were doing on the lot, Laird discovered that the name Kidd had provided to him was false, Ubry said. After discovering her true identity, he said, Laird learned she was wanted in connection with warrants from Ewing and Trenton and took her into custody.

Subsequent to that arrest, Kidd was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine and related paraphernalia, Ubry said. He said Kidd’s male companion was released without being charged.

He said the drugs were discovered after the officers detected an odor of marijuana upon approaching the vehicle. The driver, Rozenfeld, was also charged with underage possession of alcohol after a bottle of schnapps was found in the vehicle, he said.

After stopping Collin’s vehicle for failing to yield the right of way, Mejia detected an odor of alcohol coming from Collins’ person, Ubry said. He said Collins was taken into custody after she performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

Vehicle Theft

At 10:48 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, management of the Lawrence Lexus auto dealership in the 2600 block of Brunswick Pike (Business Route 1) notified police that a 2010 Lexus valued at $27,800 had been stolen from the lot sometime between Jan. 26 and Feb. 1, Ubry said.
