Car Flips on I-95 Exit Ramp, Lands Back on Wheels

The young woman who was driving the car did not complain of any injuries but was nevertheless taken to an area hospital to be checked out as a precaution.

The exit ramp leading onto Federal City Road from Interstate 95 South in Lawrence Township was closed for about 45 minutes this morning (Sunday, May 15) following an accident in which a car flipped over several times and landed back on its wheels at the top of the ramp.

The single-vehicle accident occurred about 10:40 a.m. when, according to emergency officials at the scene, the driver lost control while negotiating the curve of the ramp, which was wet at the time from recent rain. The car struck the curb and overturned. After flipping as many as three times, it came to rest right-side up, officials said.

The female driver did not complain of any injuries, but because of the violence of the crash was transported by a Lawrence Township Emergency Medical Service ambulance crew to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton to be checked out as a precaution, officials said.
