Burglaries, Thefts, Reported in Lawrence

The cases involve two incidents of forced entry into homes and one entry into a vehicle.

Lawrence residents reported two forced entries into residences last week and one theft from a vehicle:

On Sunday, May 19, shortly after midnight, a resident in the 2000 block of Brunswick Pike reported that she came home and found a light on and window open that she knew she had left closed. When police arrived, they found the window broken and a brick lying on the window sill. Blood was found on some clothing. It was not immediately clear if anything was missing. Officers Everist, Stein and Det. Chester are investigating. 

On Tuesday, May 21, shortly after 7 p.m., a homeowner in the 1000 block of Brunswick Avenue reported that their son had gone to the house and found the rear door forced open and someone had entered the house. It was not immediately clear if anything had been taken. An investigation continues.

On Wednesday, May 22, a resident reported that sometime between 8 p.m. the night before and 9 a.m. that morning, someone entered their Mazda parked on Marchesi Drive and stole an iPhone and an iPod classic. The items are valued at $850.
