Another Burglary Reported on Hazelhurst Avenue

The home break-in reported on April 4 follows two residential burglaries reported on March 21. In the latest crime, a flat-screen TV and loose charge, worth a total of about $600, were stolen.

Lawrence Township detectives are investigating another residential burglary in the 100 block of Hazelhurst Avenue, police spokesman Lt. Charles Edgar confirmed.

The latest crime was reported at 2:46 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, when a 51-year-old woman called police after she returned home to find her house had been “rummaged through,” Edgar said.

He said the crime is believed to have taken place between about 8 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. that day.

Stolen were a flat-screen TV and some loose change, worth a total of about $600, Edgar said, noting that police are still trying to determine how the burglar gained entry to the residence.

Just hours apart . About $60 in loose change was stolen from one on those homes, while about $130 in cash and loose change was taken from the other house that day.
