Accident on Route 1 Sends One to Hospital

Car flips in West Windsor, but the driver sustained only minor injuries.

An accident on Route 1 in West Windsor Township on Wedensday night sent a man from Doylestown, Pa., to the hospital with minor injuries. 

The accident happened at about 10:15 p.m. just north of the Lawrence Township border.

Louis Hoey, III, 52, was driving a sport utility vehicle south on Route 1 when he lost control at the intersection of Nassau Park Boulevard, according to West Windsor police.

Hoey drove off the road, struck a utility pole and the vehicle overturned, police said. Hoey, the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported by ambulance to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.
