Obituary: Ruth Lee Tuccillo, 77

A resident of Lawrence Township for many years, she will be laid to rest on Wednesday.

Ruth Lee Tuccillo, age 77, died Saturday, Nov. 24, surrounded by her many family members. Born in Princeton, she lived in Lawrence Township for many years.

Ruth retired in 1997 after 21 years of service with the State of New Jersey. She was a collector of many things special to her and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cook Athletic Association of Hamilton for many years.

Ruth was the daughter of the late William Vernon Parke Sr. and Myrtle May Quick, as well as the sister of the late William Parke and Allen Parke.

She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Young of Rocky Hill, and her brother, Gary Parke of Maine. She is also survived by her husband of 37 years, Charles “Jake” Tuccillo; her children, Linda Zarish of Hamilton, Michael (Tammie) Jarvis of Hamilton, and Charles (Crystal) Tuccillo Jr. of Lawrence; her grandchildren, Michael (Dawn) Gulotta, Michelle (Tony) DiStefano, Kevin Jarvis, Kim Jarvis, Sondra (Howard) Jones, and Kenny Zarish; seven great-grandchildren, Emily, Lacey, Ella, Adam, Miley, Dominik, and Kennah; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 10 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday night, Nov. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
