Obituary: Phyllis D. Nerwinski, 78

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11.

Phyllis D. Nerwinski, 78, of Lawrence Township passed away on Thursday, March 7, at Capital Health Center in Hopewell surrounded by her loving family.

Phyllis was born and raised in Trenton and was a member of St. James Parish. For the past 45 years she resided in Lawrence and was a member of the Church of St. Ann.

Phyllis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed attending the many sporting events for her children and grandchildren, and was most at peace in her home in Barnegat Light surrounded by her family.

She was predeceased by her parents Pasquale and Angelina DiStefano, and her sisters, Viola Chiarello and Hilda Hill.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank P. Nerwinski, and her children, Frank P. Nerwinski Jr. and his wife Patricia, Cheryl N. Chianese, and Kevin P. Nerwinski and his wife Judy; her grandchildren, Zachary and Sophie Nerwinski, Cassie and Lexi Chianese, and Jake and Sara Nerwinski; her sister Lillian Bernabei; her sisters-in-laws, Veronica Sparra, Helen Balla, Anne Nerwinski, Dorothy Nerwinski and Marion Andrzejewski; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Phyllis will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 11, at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence Township.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Ann, Lawrence. Burial will be private.

Friends may call on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions to honor Phyllis may be made to the Church of St. Ann Faith Development Center, 1253 Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville, N.J. 08648.
