Obituary: Patricia Osowick, 78

A Lawrence Township resident since 1968, she will be laid to rest today, Nov. 9.

Patricia Osowick, 78, of Lawrence Township died on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.

Born in Missouri, and a former resident of Texas and Glens Falls, N.Y., she had lived in Lawrence since 1968.

She earned her bachelor degree and masters in education from the College of St. Rose. After graduation she worked as an elementary school teacher before starting and raising her own family in Albany, N.Y.

Patricia was a long time member of the Garden Gate Garden Club, active in the Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club, and a member of The Church of St. Ann.

Patricia was a kind and loving daughter, wife, parent, sister and friend. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially gardening, cooking and art. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary Marshall Fox, and wife of the late Julius J. Osowick, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anine and Eric Rusecky; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark Osowick and Melinda Chew; her two granddaughters, Ava and Riley Osowick; and her niece Dr. Sharon Fox. She was also predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. C. David Fox and Sue Fox.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence. Burial will be private.

There will be no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made in Patricia’s name to St Jude’s Children Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9908 or the Salvation Army, 103 Enterprise Ave., Trenton, N.J. 08638.

Arrangements are under the direction of Poulson and Van Hise Funeral Directors.
