Obituary: Mary J. Carter, 87

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30.

Mary J. Carter, 87, died on Thursday, Jan. 24, at her home in Lawrence Township.

Born in Princeton, she resided in Lawrence most of her life. Mary loved cooking and baking pies that many family and friends enjoyed.

Daughter of the late Angelo and Antonetta Masucas Dinardo, she is survived by her husband, Edmond H. Carter; her two sons, Wayne R. Carter, and Edmond H. Carter Jr. and his wife Katherine; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon L. and Joseph Strasser; her grandchildren, Christopher Carter and his wife Jennifer, Michael Carter and his wife Jessica, Elizabeth Jones and her husband Jeffrey, and Ryan and Kayla Strasser; her great granddaughter, Kylie Carter; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 11:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence. Burial will be in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, Pa.

Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church.
