Obituary: Mary Frances Souders, 86



Mary Frances Souders, 86, of Lawrence Township passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Pavillions at Forrestal Health Center.

Born in Trenton, she was a life-long area resident. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville since 1940. Mary was also an elder and past president of the women’s association of the church. She was an active member of the Rosedale Homemakers.

Daughter of the late Frank H. Okerson Sr. and Estella Golding Okerson, wife of the late Raymond Souders, and mother of the late Rebecca Lynn Souders, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard L. and Janet Souders of Lawrence; Timothy F. and Patti Souders of Sandy Ridge, Pa.; a daughter and son-in-law, Susanna S. and Michael Shade of Stephens City, Va.; six grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Shade, Richard Luke Souders, Danielle M. Souders, Timothy Frank Souders Jr. and his wife Sara, and Leah F. Souders and her fiancé Robert Schneider; and two great-grandsons, Koby Souders and Robert Schneider.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 2 p.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Rd., Pennington, with the Rev. Jeffrey Vamos pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville Cemetery.
