Obituary: Mark A. Mechowski, 45

A graduate of Lawrence High School, he worked as an assistant vice president for Bank of America.

Mark A. Mechowski, 45, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, in Philadelphia, Pa.

Born in Schenectady, N.Y., Nov. 18, 1965, he resided in Lawrence Township and Philadelphia. He was assistant vice president, Bank of America, Collingswood, N.J. He was formerly vice president, PNC Bank, Philadelphia, and president, Markam Inc., Lawrence Township. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School and attended Rider College.

A dedicated and devoted parishioner of Our Savior Church, Lawrence, he served as vice chairman of the parish committee, past president of the North Trenton Lions Club, member Lawrence Lions Club, past secretary Polish Business and Professional Men’s Club, past treasurer Polish Falcons, and was a member of the Polish Arts Club of Trenton. Mark had served on the Board of the Career Development Awards and was an active member of the Rittenhouse Row Business Association while at PNC Bank.

His funeral service will be at Ss. Peter & Paul’s PNCC, 126 River Dr., Passaic, N.J. on Friday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m. with visitation prior at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s Church, 3rd and Pine streets, Philadelphia, on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 4 p.m.

He is survived by his life partner of 26 years, James R. Keller, his parents, the Rev. Frederick and Ruth J. Mechowski, his sister and her husband, William and Melissa McLauglin and his nieces Amanda and Olivia.
