Obituary: Giovanna M. Rendina, 86

Giovanna M. Rendina, 86, of Lawrence Township died on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Lawrence Nursing Home.

Born in Murolucano, Italy, she immigrated to the United States in 1954, and resided in the Bronx, N.Y., before moving to Princeton in 1960.

Giovanna was a self employed dress maker, retiring in 1990.

Daughter of the late Gerardo and Gerardina (Fatone) Gallela, and wife of the late James Rendina Sr. she is survived by two sons, Joseph M. Rendino and James Rendina Jr.; two sisters, Rosetta Mennella and Theresa Gallela; four grandchildren, Michelle Rendino-Kemler and her husband Edmond Kemler, Christine Rendino, Kellie Rendina, and Virginia Madli; and one great-grandson, John Michael Kemler.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 11, at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton. Burial will follow Princeton Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, at the funeral home.
