Obituary: Angelo Longo, 90

A longtime Lawrence Township resident, he worked for the township board of education for over 20 years.

Angelo Longo, 90, of Lawrence Township died on Monday, Feb. 6, at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.

Born in Lago, Italy, he was a Lawrence resident most of his life after immigrating to the United States in 1953.

Mr. Longo was a custodian with the Lawrence Township Board of Education for over 20 years before retiring in 1985. He was a World War II veteran of the Italian Army.

Son of the late Guiseppe and Ippolita Marzo Longo, he is survived by his wife Norina Martillotti Longo; his children Ada Longo, Angelo Longo and his wife Helen, Joseph Longo and his wife Laura, and Nick Longo and his wife Lisa; his grandchildren Joseph Longo and his wife Donna, Christopher Longo and his wife Kelly, and Norine and Nicholas Longo; his great grandchildren Cara, Jordan, Kylee, Aaron and Chase Longo; his nephew Charles Long; his niece Lisa Porco of Argentina; and his poodle, Petunia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at noon at , 1253 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence Township. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton.

There will be no calling hours.
