Special Olympics Seeking Volunteers for Bocce Event

Scorekeepers, court assistants, and other volunteers are needed for the Special Olympics' bocce sectional competition in Lawrence Township on April 28.

is seeking volunteers on Saturday, April 28, for its bocce sectional competition at the SONJ Sports Complex at 3 Princess Rd. in Lawrence Township.

Assignments include scorekeepers, court assistants, and awards. Volunteers are needed for two shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and must be available for the entire shift selected.

Register online at www.sonj.org under “Volunteer.” Bocce positions are for volunteers ages 14 and above.

Special Olympics New Jersey provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for more than 22,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
