Princeton Boys Soccer Advance to State Cup Finals

The NJYS State Cup competition is a single elimination competition for highly competitive soccer teams.

The U13 Princeton FC Everton boys soccer team competed for the 2013 New Jersey Youth Soccer (NJYS) State Cup title on Oct. 27 in Marlboro, NJ.

As one of 64 teams competing in the State Cup competition, Everton advanced through three preliminary rounds, a quarter finals match vs. Middletown SC Explosion (3-0), semifinals vs. Randolph SC Bulls (2-0), and finally the championship round vs Kearny United Reds.  In the final minutes of a hard-fought scoreless match, Everton was defeated by Kearny United Reds (0-2).

The NJYS State Cup competition is a single elimination competition for highly competitive soccer teams.  Princeton FC Everton is a team comprised of 12 and 13-year-old boys from Princeton, Montgomery, Lawrenceville, and Hamilton.  The head coach is Hristofor Tsochev and assistant coaches are Peter Luther and Joseph Yurcisin.
