As many families are getting ready to spend Mother’s Day with their loved ones on May 13, HomeFront is ramping up to fight family homelessness, with Run for Hope, a 5K run and one-mile walk the day before, on Saturday, May 12.

Heather Lyon, HomeFront’s Special Projects Coordinator and Run for Hope Race Director says, “The event is open to everyone—all ages—and you can walk if you are not a runner.  If you want to, you can stand at the finish line and cheer.  All of the proceeds will go to fight family homelessness right here in our own community.”

“We encourage racers to register and then get sponsors,” says Lyon.  “Racers can create their own sponsorship page through HomeFront’s web site, then send it to friends and family to ask their support in fighting family homelessness. If racers take the time to do this, it will magnify the reach of the event and help even more families get back on their feet.”

HomeFront is proud to announce that this year’s Run for Hope Gold Medal sponsor is NJM Insurance GroupThere are still sponsorship opportunities available at a variety of levels.  If interested in becoming a Run for Hope sponsor, please call Heather Lyon at (609) 989-9417, extension 150.
