Mercer Street Friends Food Bank Celebrates 25 Years

A fun filled celebration to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank will be held at the Food Bank at 824 Silvia Street in Ewing on October 5, 2012 from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Festivities include a variety of entertainment, silent auction, amusements, along with wine, beer and culinary delights. Tickets can be purchased in advance online, at the door, or by calling the Food Bank at 609-406-0503.

The celebration is an opportunity to showcase the facility, highlight successes, and ensure that food and hunger prevention programs continue in these tough times when more and more people are struggling to feed their families. Many Lawrenceville nonprofits use the Food Bank to supplement their food pantries, including HomeFront.
