Washington Crossing Audubon Society Presents: “Lichens and the Lichen Flora of the Pole Farm,” a presentation by Dr. Dennis Waters at Stainton Hall of the Pennington School.
Washington Crossing Audubon Society will host a free, public presentation at 8 PM on Monday, November 18 by Dr. Dennis Waters.
Dr. Waters is known as the Township Historian of Lawrence, but also as a published amateur lichenologist. He will provide an introduction to these fascinating, greenish-grayish symbiotic creatures that are commonly found (but easily overlooked) on trees, and some guidance on identifying the several dozen common taxa found at the Pole Farm in Mercer Meadows.
The program will be held in Stainton Hall on the campus of the Pennington School, 112 W. Delaware Ave., Pennington, NJ. Refreshments are served at 7:30 PM and the talk will begin at 8 PM. Additional information at: www.washingtoncrossingaudubon.org. Follow us on Facebook.
