The Public Is Invited To An Open House
On September 26, 6-8 p.m.
Lawrenceville,
NJ. (August, 2013)
Dress for Success Mercer County moved into their new home on May 1 at 3131
Princeton Pike, Building 4, Suite 209, Lawrenceville, NJ, 08648. They are in
the same building but are now located on the second floor. After considering
other locations, the office suite in the Jingoli Properties Princeton Pike
Office Park offered an outstanding solution for the spacious boutique and
client-focused Career Center.
“Thank you to
The Container Store® Corporate Office and their Cherry Hill team who custom
designed and installed a spectacular organizational system in the new boutique
and storage room,” said Executive Director Lorrie Klaric. “And, our superb
Career Center and boutique volunteers packed, moved and unloaded our entire
inventory and office gear in a few days so that we could quickly serve clients
again.”
NRG Energy,
through a recent grant and employee volunteer days, has allowed the
organization to expand their Career Center services to disadvantaged women in
greater Mercer County who need a job and career development tools.
“The generous
Global Giving Grant from NRG supports the expansion of our full-service Client
Service Center, and will enable us to serve more than 500 women in 2013 with
our unique suite of career development programs. We are grateful to NRG for
their investment in our mission and for the strong staff support of our
programs,” said Klaric.
“Working out
of a tiny boutique, Dress for Success Mercer County has been able to make a
tremendous difference in the lives of their clients, helping them land that
first professional job and start on the path to a successful career,” said
NRG’s Tanuja Dehne, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and a volunteer
for Dress for Success Mercer County. “We at NRG are proud to support this
wonderful organization and the important work they do through our donations and
employee volunteer efforts.”
On September
26, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. the public is invited to Dress for Success Mercer
County’s Open House. Tour their new home and learn about their programs,
volunteer opportunities and events where people’s support ensures that clients
are transformed on the outside with business attire and image enhancement
services (Boutique) and on the inside with career development tools (Career
Center; Job Readiness program) building the confidence they need to thrive in
work and in life.
