Free Singalong Storybook Event with Nationally Recognized Early Childhood Music Expert, August 6, Hopewell, NJ

Teachers from
the Music Together Princeton Lab School will hold a free special event for
families with children under age five, “Singalong Storybook Hour,” on
Wednesday, August 6, 2014, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The singalong will be led
by nationally recognized early childhood music expert Dr. Lili Levinowitz,
along with other favorite Music Together teachers. They will sing through
beautifully illustrated picture books based on songs from Music Together's
award-winning songs, as well as some other well known traditional tunes.

The free
event will be held at Music Together’s international headquarters, 225
Hopewell-Pennington Rd., Hopewell, NJ 08525. Parents and caregivers will be inspired as they support their child’s
pre-literacy learning, music development, and imaginative play, all while
spending fun quality family-time together with talented and knowledgeable
teachers. All are welcome. Space is limited, and families must RSVP to sorfe@musictogether.com.

Several of
the songs will be led by Dr. Levinowitz, who coauthored the Music Together
curriculum with Music Together Founder/Director Kenneth K. Guilmartin. Dr.
Levinowitz, a Professor of Music Education at Rowan University, also teaches
Music Together classes at the Music Together Princeton Lab School in Hopewell,
with the new semester starting in September.  .

According to
Dr. Levinowitz, “There is nothing more exciting and fulfilling to me than
teaching Music Together classes to young children and witnessing the positive
impact it has on them as they respond to the music and sing along—even when
they are babies. It is incredible. I am also very excited that we have
been able to branch out into children’s books as another way for child bonding
over music through literacy. This event will be a lot of fun and we are all
looking forward to it.”

Classes are
held throughout New Jersey, and locally by the Music Together Princeton Lab
School. Visit www.MusicTogetherPrinceton.com to learn more.
