Theater Company, #theaternow, yo Present First Production, An Iliad

#theaternow is proud to announce its first full-length production, An Iliad by Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare.


#theaternow will present An Iliad, directed by Tommy Butler and featuring Daniel J. Tobin, on Saturday January 26th at 8pm and Sunday January 27th at 3pm.


This 90-minute, one-man show focuses on the core of Homer’s epic poem which has been shaped in a way that is both modern and timeless. A forceful retelling of a classic, this will be a performance that you won’t want to miss.

Tobin is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and a freelance actor and director in Philadelphia. Last year, Tobin was a directing/producing intern at McCarter Theatre in Princeton, N.J., where he worked with Emily Mann, Sam Buntrock, and Nilo Cruz.


Butler is a local director, Trenton native, and a graduate of Rider University. He is also directing in the upcoming One Minute Play Fesitval, held at Passage Theatre January 19-20.

There will be a post-show conversation between artists and audience following both shows, as well as a complimentary snacks.


#theaternow was formed in late 2011 by three young theater professionals. Their mission is to nurture a community of emerging artists by providing a platform on which they can experiment, gain firsthand experience, take on leadership roles, and develop an artistic aesthetic.


Performances will take place at the Mill Hill Playhouse, located at 205 East Front Street, Trenton.


Admission is Pay-What-You-Can with a suggested donation of $10.
