Ninth Annual Women's Wellness Day

Heart to Hearts to hold its ninth annual Women’s Wellness Day at ETS

The ninth annual Women’s Wellness Day, sponsored by Heart to Hearts, Inc., Lawrenceville, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 17th at Educational Testing Service, Rosedale and Carter roads, Princeton. Award winning author and life cycle expert Gail Sheehy will keynote on “Passages in Caregiving: Lightening the Load.” The cost is $70 for non-members and $55 for members and seniors (65 and up). Health screenings, community health education, 30 exhibitors, and an Ask the Doctor table will be provided by Princeton HealthCare System. Chair massages, Reiki and reflexology are offered. A basket raffle, door prizes and a full breakfast and lunch are included.

The theme of the day is caregiver stress, emphasizing the need for caregivers to take time for their own wellbeing and rely on support systems and community resources.  Speakers include honorary Wellness Day chair Eileen Doremus, executive director of the  Mercer County Department of Aging; Joan Brame, Ph.D of Empower Fitness; elder care legal specialist Victor Medina Esq., Medina Law Firm; Barbara Stender M.Ed.; caregiver support specialist at Greater Trenton Behavioral HealthCare; Dr. Kate Thomsen M.P.H., Women’s Health and Wellness, Pennington, NJ; and Princeton HealthCare System professionals Dr. Sherryl Croitor, Janice Love, RN Nurse Manager, Judith Mecklenburger, LSW and Jane Schwartz, RD.
