Mercer County Community College To Host Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Trenton Campus Jan. 21

Mercer County Community College invites the community to its annual celebration of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday on Monday, Jan. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is open to the public and will be held in Kerney Hall at the Trenton Campus, 102 North Broad Street.


This year's event, “Celebrating Our Future,” will showcase local performers, including poets, violinists, guitarists, vocalists, storytellers, and the MCCC Upward Bound Program Dance Ensemble.  Also part of this year’s celebration will be the viewing of President Obama’s inauguration ceremony via streaming video, which commences at 12 p.m.


The event is hosted by MCCC’s African American Student Organization, the Trenton Campus Student Activities Board, Youth College (including Upward Bound, SMILE/GEARUP, Educational Talent Search, Urban Academic Academy) and the Trenton Campus Provost’s Office.
