Heart of the Home-Hearts Afire, the venerable shop in New Hope, PA, that for eighteen years has been representing and selling beautiful, hand-crafted gifts, jewelry and accessories “made in America”, welcomes a new artist this Fall – George Sawyer. The artist’s Trunk Show featuring a selection of his extraordinarily beautiful and unique commitment rings will take place ONE DAY ONLY on Saturday November 10th at the shop located at 28 South Main St. in New Hope, PA.
“George Sawyers’ inspired designs truly represent the wonderful work that is coming from American artists, and here at Heart of the Home, we support and sell the best of these craftsmen and women – George being our newest artist”, said Phyllis Castells, Founder and Owner. “We would like to welcome our friends, old and new, to experience the beauty of George Sawyer’s work at the Trunk Show and join us to celebrate with wine, cheese and specialty teas. We will, of course, continue to carry George’s designs as part of our regular merchandise”, added Ms. Castells.

On display at the store will be a selection of hand-crafted commitment rings from the artist’s studio in Minneapolis. A representative from the artist’s studio will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. George Sawyers’ inspirations come from history, nature and art – covered bridges, tiger stripes and Japanese swords. He is a master in Mokume Gane and Wabi Sabi – intricate patterned metalwork that is a unique skill in itself. The artist’s signature designs, “Mirror Image”, are one-of-a-kind set of rings made of mirror-image patterns.
