Brown Bag Series Lecture: This Trenton Life: Screening and Discussion / Presented by Dr. Susan Ryan and Student Collaborators

This short documentary chronicles the writing and
production of a theatrical presentation, “This Trenton Life”, created by
Trenton-area youth in conjunction with Passage Theatre of Trenton. By focusing
on the students’ feelings about writing and performing, as well as their
experiences of growing up in Trenton, the play, and the film, provide a forum
for their voices to be heard. The film was produced as part of TCNJ’s Mentored
Undergraduate Summer Experience (MUSE) program. The screening will be
accompanied by a Q & A with faculty mentor Dr. Susan Ryan (Communication
Studies) and student collaborators Nicole Thompson and Josh Lewkowicz, as well
as members of Passage Theatre’s  State Street Project for urban teens.
