Trenton Man Wanted for Theft in Lawrence Township Also Charged With Weapons, Drug Possession

A Trenton man initially sought on charges of theft in Lawrence Township was ultimately charged with possession of guns and drugs last week, Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Boccinni Jr. announced on Monday.

Members of the Prosecutor’s Office, the U.S Marshals and the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force were involved in the apprehension of Donelle Boldt, 32, of Trenton last Wednesday, Boccinni Jr. said.

Mercer County Prosecutor’s Detective Dean McCleese and members of the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force arrived at his residence on the 100 block of Hancock Street to take Boldt into custody for theft in Lawrence Township at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, Boccinni Jr. said. When they spotted a Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver in plain view, they obtained and executed a search warrant.

They found Boldt in possession of suspected marijuana, cocaine, three decks of heroin, 12 Percocet pills and packaging paraphernalia, Boccinni Jr. said.

Boldt is charged with multiple counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute, possession with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park and possession of a weapon while committing a narcotics offenses.

He is lodged in the Mercer County Correction Center, and bail is set at $150,000 on the weapons and narcotics charges, Boccinni Jr. said.
