Taylor Holt - Whiz Kid of the Week

Taylor Holt is best described as a fun-loving kid with a lot of talent and a compassionate heart.

Through the Glen Rock Dance Shoppe in Ewing, Taylor is a competitive dancer. Her dance styles include tap, jazz, lyrical, hiphop, and ballet. She also dances solo in tap.

In addition to her talent as a dancer, she is also a very caring person. So much so that this year she was chosen by her peers at Eldridge Park Elementary School as the winner of the 2011 EPS Caring Award. This is an award that is given through the Mercer County Counselor’s Association.

Her father, Patrick Holt, was not surprised by the award. He sees her as “very compassionate and always puts others before her. She is always there to lend a hand to anyone who needs it.”

Her dad feels Taylor has a “future in comedy as she seems to come up with a bunch of funny one-liners.” She is a perfectionist and wants to be the best at everything she tries, he said.

“It is an honor to call her my daughter. I am very proud of the accomplishments that she has made so far in life. She is an awesome kid.”
