Reminder: Green Home & Energy Expo is Saturday

More than a dozen car dealers will have electric cars and hybrids on display in the Lawrence High School parking lot during the fifth annual Lawrence Township Home and Energy Expo on March 17.

Come to the annual green expo for all the practical information you need to make decisions about your home and transportation needs.

This year’s home and energy expo, organized in cooperation with the Lawrence Township Green Advisory Committee and the Lawrence Township School District, promises to be better than ever with the inclusion of electric cars, hands-on workshops and the “Ask Your Neighbor” table.

One lucky attendee will win everything needed to build an electric bicycle, bike included.

More than a dozen car dealers will have electric cars and hybrids on display in the Lawrence High School parking lot. Visitors will also have an opportunity to learn how to build an electric bike at the 1 p.m. electric bike workshop.

Donate your old bike to the Trenton Bike Exchange by bringing it to the parking lot during the expo.

Learn about the many ways you can conserve energy and the advantages of becoming sustainable. Hear about new products, technologies, and incentives that will save energy, make your home more environmentally friendly and keep more money in your pocketbook at the same time. This popular event will include workshops, panels, question and answer sessions, and vendor displays by more than 40 exhibitors.

Residents who have made eco-friendly improvements to their homes will talk about their experiences.

New offerings this year also include a farm-to-table lunch, a mini farmers’ market and discussion of nutritious and fun foods by Dorothy Mullen from the popular Suppers Program. The event will include special programs for children of all ages.

The green home and energy expo will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 at Lawrence High. The high school is located at 2525 Princeton Pike.
