Possible Earthquake Felt in N.J. Saturday Morning

Some New Jersey residents report felling tremor but USGS has no report thus far.

Several people in the area reported feeling an earthquake this morning, but the United States Geological Survey had no reports of any tremors,

One person wrote on Twitter “Wow I think #nj just had another #earthquake,” while another wrote “Did we just have another earthquake?!?.”

Cranbury resident Ryan Meade reported feeling shaking that lasted about five to 10 seconds, but said it lasted too long to be a truck going by.

“[It was a] light shaking, not quite like what we had a few months back, but noticeable. It moved a few things on my desk,” Meade said.

The Star Ledger also reported several people throughout the state felt the shaking, including in areas such as East Brunswick, North Brunswick and Trenton, and that a geophysicist said seismometers stationed around the state had not registered any earthquake.
