Need a Shower? Internet Service? Water to Flush Your Potty? Relax, Lawrence Township Has You Covered

Lawrence Township residents who are without power or running water can go to Lawrence High School to use the pool shower facilities and technology center computers starting 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Lawrence Township this afternoon lifted the evening by Mayor Greg Puliti. In an effort to assist township residents and business owners trying to recover from Hurricane Irene, the township issued the following advisory:

Commencing on Tuesday Aug. 30, Lawrence High School will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for residents experiencing power outages to use the wireless internet services and for access to desktop computers in the high school's Technology Center. Access to the Technology Center will be from the school's Princeton Pike entrance.

Commencing on Tuesday Aug. 30, Lawrence High School will also be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for residents, who are without water service due to loss of power, to use the shower facilities in the pool area. Access to the shower facilities will be from the pool entrance on the far side of the High School parking lot.

Two portable water tanks are available to provide NON-DRINKABLE WATER for residents who are still without water service. This water can be used for flushing of toilets. Residents will need to provide their own containers for the water. One tank has been placed at each of the following locations:

  • Carson Road Woods parking lot on Carson Road
  • Lawrenceville Fire House parking lot on Phillips Avenue
