PEI Kids Awarded $15,000 Grant


PEI Kids in Lawrenceville has been awarded $15,000 grant to support the depression component of its Crisis Intervention Program.
Under the direction of this program, children ages 3-18 who are victims of child sexual abuse receive depression screening and treatment. It also provides education and support for family members and caregivers. 

The grant comes from $512,250 awarded by the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, Horizon announced on Tuesday. 

“The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey is proud to support non-profit organizations that are making a positive difference in the lives of New Jersey residents every day,” Robert A. Marino, chairman of the board of directors of The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and Chairman and CEO of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, said.  “These grants fund a broad range of initiatives that improve personal health and enhance the cultural and arts experience in New Jersey’s communities.”
