Lawrence Health Dept. Programs Announced for Feb.

A lecture by a representative from the Mercer County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will take place Feb. 1, and balance screenings will be performed by a certified physical therapist on Feb. 8 at the Lawrence Senior Center.

The Lawrence Township Health Department’s programs for February at the have been announced.

At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, Akavar Dylutra from the Mercer County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will present a lecture entitled “In Our Own Voice.”

And the following Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., physical therapist Eileen Hidenheim from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton will conduct balance screenings.

The screenings are for Lawrence Township residents only and appointments are required.

Appointments can be made by contacting the township’s public health nurse at (609) 844-7093.
