Geography of Former British Empire Topic of Sunday Lecture

The lecture on May 13 on the grounds of The Lawrenceville School will be hosted by the Princeton chapter of the English Speaking Union.

Editor's Note: The following is a news release issued by the Princeton chapter of the English Speaking Union.

On Sunday, May 13, Helen Goddard will present a program entitled "A Sense of Place: Some Commonwealth Landscapes and Their Geography."

The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 54 countries, most of which are former members of the British Empire.  These countries vary dramatically in terms of size, location, population, economy, and topography.  Ms. Goddard will speak about this variety, examining landscapes by noted artists to see what they can tell us about these far-flung nations.
