Ben Franklin School Participates in St. Baldrick's Event

By having their heads shaved, the 34 members of Ben Franklin's team raised over $8,500 to support research into fighting childhood cancers.

Thirty-four Ben Franklin Elementary School team members joined the community at Almafi’s Restaurant to participate in .

St. Baldrick's an independent foundation established in 2005 that has raised over $100 million for childhood cancer.

Participants shaved their heads to support children with cancer and requested sponsorship from family and friends.

The Ben Franklin team, alone, raised over $8,500 this year for cancer research. Overall, the Lawrence Township community raised over $124,000 at the March 16 event.
