Winner Announced in Mrs. G TV, Appliances & Sleep Center “I Need New Appliances” Contest

Mrs. G TV, Appliances & Sleep Center, along with Frigidaire, has made one Hightstown couple’s holiday dreams come true with a brand new kitchen appliance makeover. Karen and Gregory Dinsmore won a 4-piece appliance package worth over $2300 during Mrs. G’s “I Need New Appliances” contest held in November. Entrants were required to submit pictures of their outdated or non-working appliances along with a description. Finalists were then selected by Mrs. G. CEO Debbie Schaeffer, and a public vote helped determine the Grand Prize winner. Schaeffer not only felt the Dinsmore’s kitchen needed an overhaul; she was excited to bring some holiday cheer following Gregory’s recent job loss. 

“I always take joy in helping others—whether it’s through a local organization or a customer with a unique story,” said Schaeffer. “This contest came at the right time for the Dinsmores: In the contest entry, Karen mentioned how her husband had recently lost his job of 38 years and they had to put appliance upgrades on hold. I was pleased when the public vote wanted to support them as well.”

The Dinsmores were announced as the winner shortly before Thanksgiving, and on December 13th their new appliances were installed. Schaeffer and Frigidaire representative Joe Visicaro were on hand to witness the nearly 20-year-old appliances replaced with brand new stainless steel models.  The before and after pictures can be seen on Mrs. G’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/MrsGsNJ.

“The best part of my job is when I can make a difference for another family,” added Schaeffer. “It couldn’t get any better than to bring joy at the holiday season.”
