Red Lobster has completed the remodeling of its Lawrence Township restaurant in a style inspired by the New England coast. All Red Lobster restaurants across North America will undergo a redesign by the end of 2014.
The new restaurant design was developed by an internal team of architects and designers, and was selected after a rigorous, multi-year process that included guest focus groups, surveys and market testing.
“Red Lobster is proud to be part of the Lawrenceville community, and while guests have been enjoying our delicious seafood for years, they expressed a desire for an updated atmosphere,” said Marty Gruetzmacher, Red Lobster’s senior vice president of operations.
“Our remodeled look and new advertising shows our guests what Red Lobster is really about – a warm, welcoming atmosphere with real people preparing and serving a variety of affordable, great tasting seafood with passion and excellence.”
The new exterior features a stone tower, similar to the architecture used throughout New England, ship lanterns to welcome guests in after dark, Adirondack-style chairs to encourage guest conversation and mingling outside, unique window graphics that hint at some of the delicious seafood inside and a plaque featuring the name of the restaurant’s General Manager who is looking forward to welcoming guests.
Interiors now feature expanded seating for large parties, LED lighting, additional energy-saving upgrades and nautical décor such as signal flags and seaside-inspired artwork to create a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests.
As part of the restaurant’s commitment to the community, Red Lobster donated its old furnishings from remodeled restaurants to Habitat for Humanity ReStore resale outlets, which sell items to the general public to raise funds for constructing homes in their communities for families in need. This is part of a larger partnership between Red Lobster’s parent company, Darden Restaurants, and Habitat for Humanity International.
In addition to updating the restaurant design, Red Lobster’s menu provides guests with affordable, high- quality and great-tasting seafood. For example, Today’s Fresh Fish Menu provides guests between five to eight selections of fresh fish daily.
Additionally, every restaurant kitchen now features wood-fire grills that are operated by specially trained grill masters. Red Lobster’s signature wood-fire grilling method locks in the flavor and sears in the natural juices found in seafood, steak and chicken. Finally, the Quick Catches Lunch Menu offers lunch options starting at just $7.99 for guests looking for a quick and delicious meal at a great value.
All of these changes are highlighted in Red Lobster’s new advertising campaign that features real employees talking about how Red Lobster goes the extra mile to provide every guest with top-choice seafood and an experience reminiscent of dining by the seaside.
Red Lobster in Lawrence Township is open daily at 11 a.m. for lunch and is open until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
