New Tradition to Begin When Lawrence High Cardinals Play First Annual Thanksgiving Morning Football Game

The Lawrence High School football teak will take on Hopewell Valley Central High School. on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. at HVCHS' Ackerson Field.

Thanksgiving means turkey and football to many across the country, and a new tradition will allow the Lawrence Township community to embrace the football part of the holiday first hand.

Lawrence High School is preparing for its first annual Thanksgiving Day Football Game vs. Hopewell Valley Central High School. The game will be held Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. at HVCHS’ Ackerson Field.

LHS has a series of school events planned leading up to the game to help spread enthusiasm to the students and staff. Tryouts are being held for a new mascot and a pep rally will also be held for the entire school the day before the game, helping to increase school spirit and participation
