Breakfast to Honor Lawrence Township Businesses

On Wednesday the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce and Lawrence Township’s Growth and Redevelopment Committee will host a breakfast honoring the winners of the township's 14th Annual Awards Program for Economic Development.

Editor's Note: The following is a news release issued by the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce.

From small to large, all improvements and expansions are applauded. Economic growth and redevelopment represents the signs that businesses created positive effects on local communities.

The Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Lawrence Chapter in partnership with Lawrence Township’s Growth and Redevelopment Committee will be hosting the 14th Annual Awards Breakfast on Oct. 10 at Quaker Bridge Mall.

These awards are presented each year to businesses, individuals, and civic groups that have enhanced the community in a special way; for job growth, expanding the tax base of the township, building or renovating a structure that improves the quality of life in the community, or by participating in local activities that benefit the Town and its residents.

The Awards Breakfast will also feature a presentation on the redevelopment of the mall by the owners of the Quaker Bridge Mall, Simon Property Group. The Simon Group will highlight the economic impact of the renovation on the local community and the project’s sustainability initiatives.

"Redevelopment and sustainability of existing properties, such as the Quaker Bridge Mall, are initiatives that will bring a direct, positive effect to the local and regional economy. We commend Lawrence Township for continuing to recognize those organizations and individuals that have a positive effect on the community and the region, " stated Mercer Chamber President and CEO Robert D. Prunetti.

The Awards Breakfast will be held in a suite adjacent to the Cheesecake Factory on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 8 a.m. To reserve your seat at this celebratory gathering, please contact the chamber at (609) 689-9960 extension 14 or visit www.MercerChamber.org/Events.

Established in 1868, the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce provides its members with advocacy representation, opportunities to build better business relationships and encourages economic growth and sustainability throughout Central New Jersey.
