Third Annual 'Art Inspired by Poetry' Set for May 12

The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Satuerday, May 12, at the Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network Gallery and Gift Shop on Route 206.

Twenty-four poets and 22 artists are collaborating to stage an exhibit of "Art Inspired by Poetry" on Saturday, May 12, from 4-7 p.m. at the Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network Gallery and Gift Shop located at 2683 Main St. (Route 206 at the corner of Gordon Ave.) in the Lawrence Township.

Artists Network members are preparing their artistic interpretations inspired by original poetry submitted for this special Second Saturday Open House.

Artworks will be displayed accompanied by the inspiring poems, and the artists and poets will be on hand to discuss their work with visitors.  As a special treat, beginning around 5 p.m., each of the poets will read.  dditional time will be available following the readings for artist-poet-visitor interactions. 

As always, admission is free, refreshments (including treats from the Village Bakery) will be served, and the public is invited.
