Mrs. G's "Paint Our Fridge Pink" Contest & Fundraiser to benefit Susan G. Komen of Central & South Jersey

Four groups of students from Mercer County schools will compete in a fridge painting contest at Mrs. G TV & Appliances to benefit Susan G. Komen of Central and South Jersey. Using a theme to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, students will use symbols like the color pink and the pink awareness ribbon to create a design on retired refrigerators.  Joining the students will be renowned Trenton graffiti artist and entrepreneur Leon Rainbow, the Jersey Fresh Jam founder who has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, The Trenton Times and Princeton Magazine for his contribution to the arts and his community.

The refrigerators will remain on display in the Mrs. G showroom during the entire month of October while an online voting period takes place at www.MrsGs.com to determine the winner.  Online votes can be placed from October 3rd through October 31st.  Awards will be given to the top 3 designers, with the grand prize winner receiving a $150 savings bond and free admittance to one of Leon Rainbow’s art courses.  Mrs. G TV & Appliances will also donate $150, plus $1 for every vote cast up to $500, to Susan G. Komen of Central and South Jersey.

The event is free and open to the public.
