History of New Jersey’s State Parks

Some of New Jersey’s most exciting history can be found in state parks. From the top of New Jersey’s highest mountain, to our last undeveloped beaches, discover the stories of our parks: who called them home in the past, what happened in and around them, and how and why they were preserved for generations of visitors.

Author Kevin Woyce who specializes in New Jersey and New York regional history will speak about the history or our parks. The lecture will be accompanied by a slide show of both original photography and historic images. Copies of the book will be available for sale after the program for the author to sign. The event is co-sponsored by the Lawrence Historical Society and the Friends of the Lawrence Library. Registration suggested. Call 609-989-6920 or email  lawprogs@mcl.org.
