What Would You Improve in Morristown in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Morristown, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in Morristown to make it an even better place to live?

New businesses in town have always been on the top of people's lists for ways to improve Morristown. Whether it's just filling an empty storefront or diversifying the dining options, what would you like to see improve on this front in 2013?

In , after years and years of talks, plans, approvals and then shifts in how the town sees such a project moving forward. Most recently, approval was gained to amend part of Phase IV of the plan, which now paves the way for a CVS Pharmacy to be built on the long-abandoned site of a former used car dealership at Speedwell Avenue and Spring Street.

There certainly is more people are concerned about, and we want hear what you have to say. What is on your Morristown wish list? What is one thing you would improve in 2013?

Tell us in the comment section below or blog about why you love living here!

Fire all the town administrators and clerks, and make the get a job in the private sector. Hire new ones and make them read the constitution and sign a pledge to up hold it.

Take a walk around Westfield, Ridgewood, Princeton, Madison, and a sample of other new jersey towns. You will not see so many banks and bars. Morristown when they are able should make it a point to create a mixed use of zoning for the central business district. It could be done but it would take communication, working together and listening to each other. Can the powers that be perform? They do it other places. Just takes the will and focus.

Edward, I must say, that the banks are really only located on the green... and then the two on south street. I think it just seems like there are a lot of banks because they are that highly visible primo location right on the green where the rents are prob the highest... and of course, who are the only business who can afford those high rents? Banks.

morristown, with all its resturants has no place to get a good breakfast. We need a good dinner like they have in Madison, or a good bagel shop that has a grille like the one in Morris Plains. Also, we need another supermarket instead of over priced kings or dirty shop-rite.
