Multiple Traffic Delays Slow Morning Commute

The morning commute is a slow one Thursday morning due to an accident and multiple pockets of volume, according to 511nj.org.

At 8:39 a.m., an accident was involving a downed utility pole on Route 33 Business westbound from Wemrock Road to Route 33 in Manalapan is causing 5-10 minute delays while all lanes are closed.

There are also delays on Route 33 eastbound approaching Route 527/Millhurst Road/Sweet Mans Lane in Manalapan.

At 8:40 there were pockets of volume on I-95 north exiting at Route 1/I-295 in Lawrence. Within the past hour, additional pockets were causing delays on I-295 north from exit 63 in Hamilton Township to exit 67/Route 1 in Lawrence; Route 1 north from I-295 in Lawrence to Meadow Road in West Windsor; Route 130 north approaching Route 1/171 in North Brunswick; and Route 18 in both directions between Route 1 and the New Jersey Turnpike in East Brunswick.
