'Let's Move Lawrence' Event to be Held on Saturday

Intended to promote exercise and healthy living, the event will feature hikes and bike rides along Lawrence Township nature trails, as well as the dedication of a new bridge along the Johnson Trolley Line greenway.

“Let’s Move Lawrence,” an event intended to promote exercise and healthy living, will be held on Saturday, June 11.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with the Lawrence Greenway Committee’s 21st Annual Hike, taking place at the off Eggerts Crossing Road.

At 10 a.m., members of the Lawrence Township Council will dedicate a new bridge along the greenway at Five Mile Run, behind Rider University.

After the dedication, walkers and bikers will be able to choose from three activities: a 20-mile bike ride, an 8-mile bike ride joining with trails in Ewing Township, or a 2-mile walk or ride through Lawrence Township trails

The three activities, collectively, are being called the “First-Annual Ralph Copleman Neighborhood Bike Ride & Greenway Walk.”
