Learn more about Lawrence's Food Waste Program at a session on Wednesday at the Lawrence library.

Lawrence Township is embarking on a new recycling program that will allow residents another way to get all the organic materials out of the regular garbage collection.

Three hundred volunteers are needed to participate in this program before collection begins. The cost is $17.00 monthly and includes a 32-gallons recycle cart.  Central Jersey Waste will bill the participants quarterly. You can register by sending an email to: jbrokofsky@lawrencetwp.com.

Gregory Whitehead, CPWM, Director of Public Works, Township of Lawrence, and Pamela Frank, Food Waste Committee Chair, will explain the importance of this  new program.

The library has plenty of parking and light refreshments will be served.
